Augusta Ice Cream Shops - Sprague & Curtis Real Estate

Dessert lovers, rejoice! Within the span of one week this summer you can celebrate National Vanilla Milkshake Day on June 20 and National Ice Cream Cake Day on June 27. Get ready to indulge as our real estate agents share the scoop on their favorite ice cream shops around Augusta.

  1. The Red Barn - 455 Riverside Drive, Augusta 04330
    Roadside diners are a classic part of summer in America, and The Red Barn has been a family-owned Augusta institution since 1977. Take a break from touring Augusta homes for sale and sit outside at the picnic tables to enjoy a meal of clam strips, lobster rolls, or other Maine seafood before finishing with some of their popular soft-serve ice cream.   2. Fielder's Choice Ice Cream - 937 Western Ave., Manchester 043511
    With a lineup of more than 30 hard-serve ice cream flavors, Fielder's Choice Ice Cream definitely hits it out of the park. Stick with a traditional flavor such as Vanilla Bean or Cookies and Cream or go with Baked Indian Pudding if you're feeling daring. The menu includes five sugar-free flavors and a dairy-free sorbet along with six soft-serve flavors to accommodate all tastes.   3. Sweet Carolynn's - 289 Water St., Gardiner 04345
    If you have a sweet tooth, Sweet Carolynn's has you covered. They serve Shain's of Maine gourmet ice cream in tempting flavors such as Whoopie Pie, Java Crunch, and Maine Caramel Sea Salt that you can order as is or in a float, shake, banana split, or sundae. Add variety with a hand-crafted cupcake in unique flavors like French Toast and Butterbeer. After you tour Gardiner homes for sale, you can enjoy live music, networking mixers, and other events. Sweet Carolynn's is open 11:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.

  4. The Ice Cream Shoppe - 347 Water St., Randolph 04346
    Have you ever had an upside-down banana split? That's only one of the whimsical treats you'll find at The Ice Cream Shoppe, making it a mandatory stop after viewing Randolph homes for sale.     From the walk-up window in a quaint old house to the outdoor seating on the banks of an old mill pond, Tubby's Ice Cream is a picture-perfect spot for a summer afternoon visit. Ice creams and sauces are made from scratch with all-natural quality ingredients, and owners Tubby and Aaron are like mad scientists with their creative flavors such as Thorny Nuts, which is like a PB&J sandwich on a cone. Have your order whipped into a "frenzy" with your choice of add-ins. Tubby's is open seven days a week throughout the summer giving you plenty of time to visit after you've toured Wayne homes for sale.

  6. Jefferson Scoop - 271 Waldoboro Road, Jefferson 04348
    Jefferson Scoop has been a local favorite for 20 years, endearing itself to the community with specials such as prom night discounts. The floor-to-ceiling chalkboard menu is just barely big enough to hold the list of flavors from Gifford's, an award-winning premium ice cream brand made in Maine. Hours at Jefferson Scoop are 1 until 8 p.m. seven days a week during the summer, so schedule a stop before or after you've seen homes for sale in Jefferson.
