Clean Your Washing Machine

You might think that because you use detergent with every load of laundry in your washing machine, it stays clean. That's not the case, though.

Soap residue, minerals, and laundry soils can build up, and your washer can develop a musty smell or even start to grow mold and mildew. That's why you should add cleaning your washing machine to your spring cleaning routine and make it a habit throughout the year. Make Your Home Look Elegant

Those home improvement shows do seem to work miracles, but they come with an equally dramatic price tag. But don't worry, you can make your home look like the "after" shot of a home improvement show with just some time and elbow grease. Yours may not be the priciest of the Augusta homes for sale, but you can make it look more elegant with these tips.

  1. Make Sure to Declutter
De-cluttering is one of the most affordable and fastest ways to a better-looking home. Some clutter needs to be disposed of, but other things just need proper storage. Installing shelving is an affordable DIY project, but if you're not as handy as you'd like to be, storage ottomans or steamer trunks look chic and can store extra pillows or books. Consider donating household items or clothing in good condition to a local thrift store. You'll remove clutter while helping someone find the piece that makes their house more of a home.

Apps for Staying Connected

There is no place like home. But as most of us stay home, we must find new ways to connect with those we love. Luckily, there are plenty of great apps that can ease some of those pains and help you keep up with your loved ones. With most of them free and easy to use, you'll be able to bond with your favorite people from the comfort of your couch.

Our real estate agents researched for you and put together a list of apps to keep you virtually connected when you're stuck at home.

  1. FaceTime
FaceTime is a free app that comes preloaded onto Apple devices. The app is easy to use and allows up to 32 people to connect at a time via audio or video calls using their iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. If you don't have an internet connection, FaceTime also works on cellular connections. It is a user-friendly option perfect for those who aren't technology savvy.
  2. Netflix Party
If your favorite quarantine activity involves binge-watching, Netflix has got you covered. Netflix Party allows you to watch TV shows and movies online at the same time as your friends. You can download the free extension to your Google Chrome browser, choose a program, and sync up your account with other Netflix users. Using the in-app group chat function, you can comment and chat during the show.
