- ATV & Snowmobile Safety Combination Course: 2400 W. River Rd., Sidney, ME 04330
If you own or drive an ATV or snowmobile, then you know how important it is to be safe. Consider attending the ATV & Snowmobile Safety Combination Course at Kramer's on January 27. This is a 7-hour course that begins at 9:00 am and is located near Sidney homes for sale. It's organized by the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.
There is no charge for this course. It will cover rider safety, applicable laws, how to use a map and compass, and how to administer basic first aid. Attendees will also learn about environmental and landowner ethics in relation to snowmobile and ATV use.

If you or someone you know is getting married in 2024, you may want to attend the Annual Augusta Wedding Show at the Augusta Civic Center Main Auditorium. It's scheduled for January 21 from 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm.
The wedding show will host some of the best wedding professionals in the Kennebec Valley. Meet caterers, photographers, bakers, and more. Every bride will get a complimentary glass of champagne, and appetizers will be served throughout the event. There's a fee of $10 per attendee.
- Farmers Market at Mill Park: Water Street, Augusta, ME 04330
On January 9, vendors will gather at the Farmers Market at Mill Park. The market will open at 2:00 pm. Plan on spending at least an hour browsing the various stands. You can expect lots of local produce such as apples and squash. You'll also find freshly baked bread, honey, flowers, spices, and more.
The Farmers Market at Mill Park takes place every Tuesday, so if you start a good habit by going in January, you can then carry that habit through all of 2024.

The Waterville Public Library invites families with babies and toddlers to Rhymetime every Friday in January 2024 from 10:30 am to 11:00 am. This engaging event, located at the library's Children's Department, features songs and stories designed to delight the young audience. Each week showcases a different theme, focusing on a specific letter: Q on January 5, R on January 12, S on January 19, and T on January 26. There's plenty of fun at the Waterville Public Library all winter, so be sure to check out their other events as well.
