Their primary methods of distribution are through the Basic Hygiene Essentials Pantry and Addie's Attic Clothing Bank, both of which are open every Tuesday and Thursday all year long. Donations of clothing and hygiene products are both very much welcome here. Donations of hygiene supplies can be dropped off Monday – Thursday, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. For clothing donations or other special arrangements, be sure to call ahead and make an appointment before you drop items off.
Androscoggin Hospice Thrift Store – 165 Capitol St., Augusta, ME 04330
The Androscoggin Hospice Thrift Store raises funds to help support patient care in the community, with locations in Augusta and Auburn. The Augusta location is open Tuesday – Thursday, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM, and Saturday, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Donations are accepted anytime that the store is open. Popular items for donation here include houseware, clothing, small furnishings, antiques, jewelry, art, games, and crafting supplies. In one year alone, proceeds from the Androscoggin Hospice Thrift Store played a key role in providing more than $1.6 million in free patient care to community members in need.

For nearly 70 years, the United Way of Kennebec Valley has been providing essential programs and services in every town of Kennebec County. While they typically don't accept donated items, this is a great place to donate the funds that you raise from a post-spring-cleaning yard sale. All financial donations here go toward supporting local families by providing meals through food banks, help with medical costs, rides to/from life-saving treatments, and various household needs like heating oil during the winter.
