- Summer Waterfront Concert Series - Waterfront Park on Front Street in Downtown Augusta.
One of Augusta's more popular events for more than 20 years, the Summer Waterfront Concert Series returns in 2024. Waterfront Park, located on Front Street in Downtown Augusta, provides a relaxing setting for live music, cornhole, and a beer garden each Wednesday through 8/7. Scheduled acts include local favorite Rob Burnell, with his unique mix of rock and R&B (7/17), the acoustic sounds of Duke Dog Duo (7/31) and a block party with DJ Matt James spinning high-energy tunes (8/7). Shows start at 6 p.m., and admission is free.
- Waterville Rocks - Head of Falls, 60 Front St., Waterville, ME 04901
Historic Head of Falls is the site of the Waterville Rocks annual concert series. Bring blankets and chairs to kick back at this picturesque spot as you listen to some great live music. The lineup features Portland rock band Rustic Overtones (7/12), bluegrass group Breakin' Strings (7/26), country favorites 12/OC (8/2), and Assembly of Dust (8/9), whose '70s Americana music has been compared to the Band and Neil Young. At 6 p.m., join the craft activity Art Rocks before showtime at 7 p.m. Admission is free for all guests.
- Summer Concert Series - Snow Pond Center for the Arts, 8 Goldenrod Ln., Sidney, ME 04330
The most iconic summer band of all time is one of the nationally-known acts appearing at the Summer Concert Series from Snow Pond Center for the Arts. Shows take place at Bowl-in-the-Pines, the Center's stunning amphitheater perched on the shores of Lake Messalonskee. On 7/28, Elle King brings her rollicking country "Ex's and Oh's" to Sidney, followed by the legendary Beach Boys and their "Endless Summer Gold" tour on 8/2. The series wraps up on 8/18 with folk-rock powerhouses Indigo Girls & Melissa Etheridge. Visit the website for times and ticket information.
- Kennebec River Brewfest - Mill Park, 1 Northern Ave., Augusta, ME 04330
Local craft beer meets live music at the 6th annual Kennebec River Brewfest. Cushnoc Brewing Co., Dragonfly Farm & Winery, and Mossy Ledge Spirits are just three of dozens of purveyors that will be on hand with beer, wine, cider, and other alcoholic beverages. (Non-alcoholic options will also be available.) Food trucks will be serving a variety of sweet and savory dishes. Different musical acts will take the stage each hour, highlighted by I Want My MTV Retro Band, performing nostalgic tunes from the golden age of music videos. Kennebec River Brewfest is scheduled for 8/3 from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. Tickets are $40 in advance and $50 day of event.

Gardiner's Summer Waterfront Concert Series features an eclectic range of musical styles that includes something for everyone. On 7/19, the old-school jump blues and swing tunes of Juke Joint Devils will have you ready to cut a rug. James Taylor tribute act Barney Martin & the Boys in the Band perform on 8/2, followed by Women Songwriters in the Round on 8/9. The series closes on 8/30 with Bailey's Mistake and their contemporary take on Celtic music. Shows are held every Friday at 6 p.m. through 8/30 and admission is free.
