Thanks to the Colby College Museum of Art, students and the public have access to exhibits and programs representing the richness of American and contemporary art. The stunning 26,000-square-foot building, a three-story glass pavilion that houses the museum's four wings, forms the largest museum in Maine. In addition to six permanent collections, the museum features exhibitions spotlighting outside works of art as well as pieces from the museum's own collections. Their calendar offers several programs for all ages that provide interactive opportunities. Museum hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon - 5 p.m. Sunday, with expanded hours until 9 p.m. Thursday through May. Admission is free for all visitors.

In 2024, the Alfond Youth & Community Center celebrated a century of serving as a local gathering place where residents can improve their physical fitness while making friends.
