Maine Antiquing

Antiquing can be a lot of fun, but one of the hardest parts is sorting the trash from the treasure. When you discover that perfect find, there's no feeling quite like it! Our real estate agents happen to know some of the best places in Maine to find genuine treasures.

If you're on the hunt for an Augusta home for sale (and some great antique furniture to fill it with) then you might want to check out some of these amazing antique stores and markets in the Kennebec Valley!

  • Fairfield Antiques Mall - 382 Skowhegan Rd, Fairfield, ME 04937
Overlooking the Kennebec River, the community of Fairfield has a reputation as a major antiquing hub. There are several great shops there, but the Fairfield Antiques Mall is the crown jewel, offering more than 200 antique vendors over 5 levels. It's Maine's largest group antique shop, and you can find seemingly anything under the sun here, from vintage records and collectible toys to antique furniture and home decor. Plus, it's very close to Fairfield homes for sale.

  • Jellison Traders - 359 Riverside Dr, Augusta, ME 04330
You never know what you'll find at Jellison Traders, but it's a safe bet that this Augusta antique shop has some surprises in store. Nestled in a cozy, homey space that spans 4,000 square feet, Jellison Traders offers antiques and vintage goods of all kinds. Their store is packed with antique silverware, old photographs, vintage musical instruments, collectible coins, old tools—you name it.

  • Orphan Annie's Antiques - 96 Court St, Auburn, ME 04210
Located about 30 minutes from Augusta in the quiet community of Auburn, Orphan Annie's Antiques is stuffed to the gills with antiques and house goods from all eras. Ever since they opened their doors in 1977, Orphan Annie's Antiques has offered an ever-changing selection of unique, often one-of-a-kind vintage goods close to Auburn homes for sale. They have an especially impressive array of glassware, dishware, and lamps.

  • Hallowell Antique Mall - 191 Water St, Hallowell, ME 04347
Hallowell is a small town that has been nicknamed the "Antique Capital of Central Maine. It's not hard to see why. The Hallowell Antique Mall is by no means the only game in town when it comes to antiques, but it's certainly the most impressive. The mall includes booths and cases for over 80 dealers along a long stretch of Water Street near Hallowell homes for sale, and the sheer volume of what you can find here—to say nothing of the variety—is staggering.

  • StonyBrook Antiques - 3381 N Belfast Ave, Augusta, ME 04330
Exploring StonyBrook Antiques feels a lot like walking through someone's house, except that the shelves are all overflowing with decor that hasn't been updated in a century. This Augusta antique shop is a treasure trove of the old, the odd, and the unexpected. Here you'll find vintage gas lanterns, 19th-century crockery, mysterious old family photographs, pocket knives from your great-grandfather's generation, and a seemingly endless array of other surprising finds.
